Second Chance

Six years ago Carlo Saracini had flung those words at Jessica. She'd fought him to the last, but now she faced a choice: three months in Carlo's bed, or her father would go to gaol. Maybe Jessica had been forced to her knees, but she would never give in - because she also remembered Carlo's final vow: "I will never forgive you."
Typical of L. Graham's stories and not too bad. This heroine has money, or comes from it anyway. The hero is Greek and typical Alpha, but not as mean as some of Ms. Graham's men usually are. Jessica met Carlo while she was engaged, and wouldn't break her engagement to be with Carlo. Six years later she's a widow and her father is in trouble. Yes there is another female lusting after Carlo and will Jessica tell him the truth about her marriage? If you like this author, you'll like this story.

this guy has serious dominate issues

He meets her while she is engaged to someone else and he hates her guts because she didn't dump her fiance for him!!!! In fact he spits his hatred at her and promises revenge.....because it's not him that she is marrying. This guy is so consumed with his need to dominate and humiliate h on every level, it's wonder he doesn't drop dead from imploded rage.
His threats for her father are the low life kind and then he is shocked and flies into another rage because she doesn't feel safe telling him about her father's near suicide. He shouts at her does she really think that badly of him that she thinks he'll continue to force his sexual attentions on her while her father (you know, the one he threatened to send to jail) is in hospital........ahhhhh, ummmm, let me think.....
But of course he is such a TOOL because he is (wait for it) in LOVE(!!!!). Yes deeply, truly, irrevocably which should now explain why he is such a bullying jerk. Too stupid for words.

Overall, the book is ok, just a little thin on the plot. I think that is what really put me off the book. However, I did read it and I don't hate it so I will recommend it. It does have good chemistry once everything starts moving along.
