Made me dislike Badiou and Plato more than I already did, no mean feat. i don't see how this airy-fairy concept-crunching is supposed to help anyone. I just find it vaguely sinister.

Rob Nederpelt was Lecturer in Logic for Computer Science until his retirement. Currently he is a guest researcher in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands.

Outstanding but for the RIGHT audience...

This is a unique and outstanding book for the right audience. And therein lieth the rub. I am using it as an introduction for Software Engineers in an online course on Category Theory (CT), even though CT is not even mentioned in the index. By giving rigorous coverage of types from untyped Lambda calc all the way through Barendregt's - lambda cubes, the reader is totally immersed in the machinery of the construction of proof assistants.

The publisher states that this is a great intro, and only requires undergrad math. Maybe undergrad math, senior year, at MIT, with half a dozen courses in set theory, analysis, and formal proof systems? Can we be honest-- today in the US you can get your PhD in math without taking a single set theory course, let alone Category Theory! And, just like you can drive a car without knowing how it works, even as an advanced software designer, you can use proof assistant software without having the foggiest about underlying mappings and translations between, say, number theory and lambda calculus. That said, EVERYONE who has read this book in my classes, even those who only got 30% of it, say to a person that it made them better thinkers, more intuitive and gave them a MUCH deeper understanding of how computational mathematics and software proof systems work. I mean, just the discussion of assumptions vs. axioms and primitives taken as definitions sets off light bulbs at the PhD level about what variables, constants and parameters really are.

Look up Besout's little theorem on Wiki. You will see the elegant way that the applied tool of using synthetic division and remainders can more efficiently perform polynomial division than long division itself. The theorem is used an a deep exercise and example of proof formalization, mechanization, efficient code, proven correctness etc. work together, giving not only the underpinnings of proof assistants, but also seeing the practical side (from a computational complexity/ efficiency point of view) of typing.

Highly recommended for the right audience, but not for the faint at heart. VERY well written, as it does not use the usual, highly abstract terse, PROBLEM/ PROBLEM/ THEORY/ PROOF/ EXAMPLE/ EXAMPLE... now it's your turn technique. Instead outstanding (though British) English is used to flesh out the details of what and why techniques are being used in each toolbox. This will need to be studied deeply to get to 30% if you are new to lambda, type or category theories, some of the most abstract topics in math/computing, but the reward is immense, not just in those fields, but in making us better understand the workings of human logic, proof, evidence and clear thinking.

Regular Show Fans Will Love This Book!

The Art of Regular Show is a great look into the process of creating the animated television series, Regular Show. It provides a description of the creation of Regular Show - showing JG Quintel’s early drawings and sketches - as well as character development, descriptions of the environments, examples of storyboards, and a “How to Draw” section for the major characters. Especially insightful was the treatment of Quintel’s student films, “2 in the AM PM” and “Na�ve Man from Lolliland”, which were to provide the initial designs for Mordecai, Benson, and Pops.

The text of the book brings together Quintel, storyboard artists, voice talent, and the creative directors for a running narrative on the different topics. Artwork that is highlighted includes: Mordecai & Rigby, Benson, Pops, Skips, Muscle Man, Starla, High Five Ghost, Margaret, CJ, Eileen, Thomas, family members, and many of the minor characters seen over the past 5 years.

Episodes like The Pilot, Eggscellent, The Christmas Special, and Exit 9B are given in-depth treatment through the narrative and storyboards. There are also lots of sketches, doodles, and post-its sprinkled throughout (I think my favorite being Mordecai & Rigby watching the Regular Show Premiere).

Purchased for 12-year-old Regular Show fan. He rated it 4 out of 5 stars. He enjoyed the book. The book is about the art of the show. It fulfilled its purpose. It showed the art work and the ideas behind the art work. The only reason he didn't give it 5 stars is because he wanted to know more about the original concept behind the show.

After writing a few erotic futanari tales, I knew I had to write this one. Futanari are already sex on a stick. Vampires are hella sexy (and bloody). Combine the two and you have a scorching sexual overload.

I can guarantee you've never read anything like this, unless you've read my other futa erotica. But even then, this surpasses them in terms of the "Wow, I can't believe I just wrote that" factor.

My Approach to Vampire Lore

Vampire lore is rich and varied, and I picked from the traditional and put my own twist on things, too. For one thing, there's no "cheating" for my vampires:

• They won't drink from animals (not only is it gross to them but it does nearly nothing for them to sustain them).
• There are no artificial blood substitutes.
• Basically, they must hunt and drink and kill other people in order to survive.

My vampires are destroyed by the sun but not holy water or crosses or garlic. They can see themselves in mirrors (it's just reflected light, after all).

Each vampire has an ability or power all their own, like a blood fingerprint. Part of your journey into undead immortality is discovering this power and then learning how to best use it. Killing another vampire may sometimes give you whatever power they had or at least strengthen your own.

My vampires go through stages or forms. In the "lowest" form their fangs are only slightly longer than their other teeth. Discernible, but they won't get in the way when fellating a huge futanari organ. The ultimate form for vampires is pretty powerful and incredible, and comes from the origins of vampires as I plan to tell it.

About the Futanari in Enthralled


My futa have everything, including testicles. They're created through advances in medical science. Unfortunately, the world isn't ready to accept them and they are actively persecuted and protested against. This is drawn from both current events regarding actual trans people and my own experiences in trying to share something I love with people who judge and don't understand it.

The uh... features and uh... output of futas in my stories are exaggerated and outlandish because to me, that's sexy and fun. I didn't want to put this down!
I loved Bryce's take on vampire lore, and as this is only the second futanari book I've read, I greatly enjoyed his take on that as well.

The humor, emotion, and character interactions were well developed and fantastically paced.

If you're looking for a new take on vampires, or are curious about what exactly a futanari is or does (and does often) pick up this book!

This is not a typical vampire love story and I loved it!!! The fast paced story gripped me from the beginning as I was pulled into the highly erotic story of Ashlyn and Musette. Musette is not a typical vampire but a futanari vampire, who is not accepted in the vampire community. Ashlyn, finds Musette in an alley next to a club and their love story begins.
The story is filled with humour and extremely graphic feeding and sex scenes. Bryce Calderwood has an unique writing style which pulls you into the story deeper and you cannot help but fall for the characters too. This book is a must read and the original storyline will have you looking at vampires in a whole new light. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Was just the perfect book for my best friend. I love him but he is really shy and i was looking for a good book to help him with his shyness. I was sure that with this really clear and precise guide, spending all his time on his tablet will finally help him a lot! And it did! I wasn't sure what to think when i first saw this title - another book of empty promises?? but i figured that at this price what's the harm. Reading it was exactly what i needed to get me off my butt and get out there talking to girls. I've got a bunch of numbers in the last couple of days and it looks like I'm on track for a girlfriend for valentines day! Sebastiano Timpanaro (1923-2000) was an Italian classical scholar and historian. He was a member of the British Academy and the Accademia dei Lincei and the author of On Materialism and The Freudian Slip. Glenn W. By the end of the sixth century CE, both the royal courts and the educated elite in China were collecting works of art, particularly scrolls of calligraphy and paintings done by known artists. By the time of Emperor Huizong (1082-1135) of the Song dynasty (960-1279), both scholars and the imperial court were cataloguing their collections and also collecting ancient bronzes and rubbings of ancient inscriptions. The catalogues of Huizong's painting, calligraphy, and antiquities collections list over 9,000 items, and the tiny fraction of the listed items that survive today are all among the masterpieces of early Chinese art.

Patricia Ebrey's study of Huizong's collections places them in both political and art historical context. The acts of adding to and cataloguing the imperial collections were political ones, among the strategies that the Song court used to demonstrate its patronage of the culture of the brush, and they need to be seen in the context of contemporary political divisions and controversies. At the same time, court intervention in the art market was both influenced by, and had an impact on, the production, circulation, and imagination of art outside the court.

Accumulating Culture provides a rich context for interpreting the three book-length catalogues of Huizong's collection and specific objects that have survived. It contributes to a rethinking of the cultural side of Chinese imperial rule and of the court as a patron of scholars and the arts, neither glorifying Huizong as a man of the arts nor castigating him as a megalomaniac, but rather taking a hardheaded look at the political and cultural ramifications of collecting and the reasons for choices made by Huizong and his curators. The reader is offered glimpses of the magnificence of the collections he formed and the disparate fates of the objects after they were seized as booty by the Jurchen invaders in 1127.

The heart of the book examines in detail the primary fields of collecting -- antiquities, calligraphy, and painting. Chapters devoted to each of these use Huizong's catalogues to reconstruct what was in his collection and to probe choices made by the cataloguers. The acts of inclusion, exclusion, and sequencing that they performed allowed them to influence how people thought of the collection, and to attempt to promote or demote particular artists and styles.
