About the Author

As an Episcopal priest, she has served several parishes and been chaplain to Stanford University and Santa Clara University.

Reverend Penelope Duckworth, author of Mary: The Imagination of Her Heart, invites the reader to view Mary, not just as the mother of Jesus, but as the mother of an ever-growing and changing church that is learning to appreciate her many dimensions.

From a biblical and historical perspective, Duckworth addresses six of Mary's different dimensions: as prophet, matriarch, theologian, disciple, intercessor and paradigm.

Mary is interesting because so much has been written about her from a theological, historical and cultural viewpoint, yet the scripture references are limited. The greatest amount of biblical information is found in the Gospel of Luke.

Duckworth's book gives the reader an opportunity to delve deeper into Mary as a person and allows us to examine her historical influence. She becomes a real person, rather than an idea or fact of Christian life.

The study questions following the chapters offers the reader an opportunity think about, examine and reflect on Mary, the contemporary church and their own beliefs and experiences.

Absolutely the best

This is the best paper resource there is for critical care nurses. If you learned it once in residency and you have the basics down, this is the perfect guide for remembering some of those details. I work in a small hospital ICU and we get such a wide variety of patients that this book really helps when I need a quick reminder on a topic I haven't seen in a while. This is a ton of info packed into a small book. I like that you can add to the binder. It is sturdy enough to last for years. Kathy White publishes updates so be sure to get the latest version. And if you have iPhone...there's an app for it.

I purchased this from the writer's website but it didn't fit my needs. The print was too small and the pages were too thin so this is only a review of the physical part of the book, not the information on the pages. Great idea though.

What a gift for our creative souls and wild, longing hearts this book is! So many sparks of inspiration, deep inquiries, spiraling worlds of possibility. I find myself randomly opening a page as a sacred gateway into poetic possibilities for my soul and start writing, doodling, visioning inspired by each page. Dr. Vyacheslav Tuzlukov is currently a full professor in the Department of Information Technologies and Communication, School of Electronics Engineering, College of IT Engineering, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea. Figuring and Claiming the EIC
1. Your adjusted gross income (AGI) must be less than:
• $46,997 ($52,427 for married filing jointly) if you have three or more qualifying children,
• $43,756 ($49,186 for married filing jointly) if you have two qualifying children,
• $38,511 ($43,941 for married filing jointly) if you have one qualifying child, or
• $14,590 ($20,020 for married filing jointly) if you do not have a qualifying child. 2. You must have a valid social security number.

4. You must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien all year.
5. You cannot file Form 2555 or Form 2555-EZ (relating to foreign earned income).
6. Your investment income must be $3,350 or less.
7.You must have earned income. 8. Your child must meet the relationship, age, residency, and joint return tests.
9. Your qualifying child cannot be used by more than one person to claim the EIC.
10. You cannot be a qualifying child of another person. 11. You must be at least age 25 but under age 65.
12. You cannot be the dependent of another person.
13. You cannot be a qualifying child of another person.
14. You must have lived in the United States more than half of the year. 15. Your earned income must be less than:

Do I Need This Publication?
Certain people who file Form 1040 must use Worksheet 1 in this publication, instead of Step 2 in their Form 1040 instructions, when they are checking whether they can take the EIC. You are one of those people if any of the following statements are true for 2014.
•You are filing Schedule E (Form 1040).
•You are reporting income from the rental of personal property not used in a trade or business.
•You are reporting income on Form 1040, line 21, from Form 8814 (relating to election to report child's interest and dividends).
•You are reporting an amount on Form 1040, line 13, that includes an amount from Form 4797.
If none of the statements above apply to you, your tax form instructions may have all the information you need to find out if you can claim the EIC and to figure the amount of your EIC. You may not need this publication. But you can read it to find out whether you can take the EIC and to learn more about the EIC.
Do I Have To Have A Child To Qualify For The EIC?
No, you can qualify for the EIC without a qualifying child if you are at least age 25 but under age 65 and your earned income is less than $14,590 ($20,020 if married filing jointly). See chapter 3.
How Do I Figure the Amount of EIC?
If you can claim the EIC, you can either have the IRS figure the amount of your credit, or you can figure it yourself. To figure it yourself, you can complete a worksheet in the instructions for the form you file. To find out how to have the IRS figure it for you, see chapter 4.

Splendid

[[VIDEOID:mo3PIBVV82I1CX0]]One artist, hardcover, 240 pages. The Marvel Art of Mike Deodato is in pretty much the same format as other artist art books Marvel published recently, like The Marvel Art of Marko Djurdjevic and The Marvel Art of Joe Quesada.

Although Mike Deodato has a career in comics spanning more than 2 decades, the majority of work featured here are from 2002 to 2010.

The first chapter is dedicated to a selection of covers from that time. There are works from, just to name a few, Amazing Spider-Man, Dark Avengers, She-Hulk, Tigra, Punisher, Wolverine, X-Men, etc.

The later chapters are each dedicated to bigger titles, namely Thor, Elektra, Hulk, Spider-man, Thunderbolts, Avengers, X-Men, and a chapter collecting some other titles.

The art is fantastic of course, characterised by what the editors would say, "Tight pencils". The covers are nicely printed large, with the white space occasionally filled by the inked versions or pencils. You'll see quite a lot of pieces beautifully coloured by Rain Beredo. This is a best-of-the-best collection after all, so some covers have to be left out. There are a couple of pages on interior panel art.

I like the play on title logos when he's given the freedom to do so, especially those from the She-Hulk series. A nice one is of a villain holding a big slate of concrete HULK logo aiming at She-hulk. I also like the Spider-man and X-men art.

The text comes in the form of first person commentary and also quotes from other artists. There's quite a bit on his background. If you're wondering what's deal with him and Deodato studios, it's all in the interview as well. It's interesting to find out that he's into martial arts as a sport.

Splendid art book.

A good review about Mike Deodato Jr. art

The book is a good article on the artistic life of Mike Deodato Jr.

Viewed from the standpoint of the manufacture is fine. It is solid and well presented. The book is good quality made, hardback, cover, good paper and good print. In summary, the quality is very high.

Speaking of the quality of its content, Mike Deodato is an artist with many fans but also many detractors. His style is complex and this book shows how it has evolved.

Works almost entirely with shadows, fleeing the clean line, and his evolution has made to increase the realism of his drawings and black style. He creates a good atmosphere in the comic panels or illustrations, and is seen as constructed through the sketches showing the book.

The book has some articles in which is displayed as he works from the first sketch, the first idea, to the development of pen and ink to finish the work. Mike Deodato Jr. has an extensive work, so if you want to enjoy the book will need a good day or a couple of days alone to consider all the illustrations.

Very talented artist with good presentation but personally I wish the was more sketches and unpublished artwork. basically its covers and pages of an actual comic book, and it's uncolored version.
